ONTARIO CULINARY TOURISM ALLIANCE
AMHERSTBURG FARMERS MARKET GRAND OPENING

AMHERSTBURG, ONTARIO– Amherstburg Farmers Market (AFM) is ready to promote, showcase and sell “Grown Right Here” produce and artisan goods. The Grand Opening takes place Saturday, June 5 at the “little white church” officially known as the Malden Community and Cultural Center on Howard and County Road 20. www.amherstburgfarmersmarket.com

Open every Saturday from 8:30 am to 3:30 pm until October 30, the Amherstburg Farmers Market will boast 14 primary vendors who will be showcasing and selling their products such as fresh eggs, meats, plants, seeds, produce, berries, artisan breads and pies, jams and much more! A Primary Vendor is defined as one who grows or raises his/her product; from the farm to the table. Amherstburg Farmers Market is a member of Farmers Market Ontario.

Staying true to the “Buy Local” campaign, the AMF committee has chosen the participating vendors with great consideration for environmentally friendly sustainability and genuine agricultural interest. They want to cultivate a receptive environment for related community events that focus on healthy eating and supporting the local farmers and artisans.

The Ribbon Cutting ceremony will be held at 10:00 am with live music, a horse clinic and a complimentary draw for prizes and of course cake!
