FARMERS MARKET GRAND OPENING |
AMHERSTBURG,
ONTARIO– Amherstburg Farmers Market
(AFM) is ready to promote, showcase and
sell “Grown Right Here” produce
and artisan goods. The Grand Opening takes
place Saturday, June 5 at the “little
white church” officially known as
the Malden Community and Cultural Center

Open
every Saturday from 8:30 am to 3:30 pm until
October 30, the Amherstburg Farmers Market
will boast 14 primary vendors who will be
showcasing and selling their products such
as fresh eggs, meats, plants, seeds, produce,
berries, artisan breads and pies, jams and
much more! A Primary Vendor is defined as
one who grows or raises his/her product;
from the farm to the table. Amherstburg
Farmers Market is a member of Farmers Market
Ontario.
Staying
true to the “Buy Local” campaign,
the AMF committee has chosen the participating
vendors with great consideration for environmentally
friendly sustainability and genuine agricultural
interest. They want to cultivate a receptive
environment for related community events
that focus on healthy eating and supporting
the local farmers and artisans.
The Ribbon Cutting ceremony will be held
at 10:00 am with live music, a horse clinic
and a complimentary draw for prizes and
of course cake!
